A little throwback

On this day last year I submitted my MA thesis. Why is it so important to me? Because it reminds me that every big goal can be achieved through many little steps.

I wrote on Facebook:
“Today I’ve submitted my master’s thesis. I began to write it last July, it has been a very tough journey, as my personal path was tough as well. Last July I thought that now I would have already graduated and I would have already got a job, but with the time I understood it was not so. I decided not to give up my studies, even when I was completely alone and I felt lonely. It’s still not time to celebrate, I don’t know when I can graduate, but it is a huge achievement that reminds me not to give up, even when everything goes wrong.
Every path towards a goal is never straight, you fall and stand up several times, and often the weight on your shoulders feels so heavy. Other times, you actually don’t know why you’re still going on. When you take a first step, you have already one step less to walk…and every destination is reachable through a path made of small steps, isn’t it? Today, I’m so proud of myself.”.

I graduated three months later and now I have a job.

Every single step you take helps you reaching the top of the mountain.
