Things I am Grateful For: #2 Week
How about writing a new list every week?
Welcome back to my weekly appointment with the things I am grateful for. In case you missed the first article, here’s the link:
Things I am Grateful for. Week 1 | by Laura Papavero | May, 2021 | Medium
Thinking about my latest life experiences, I’d like to share with my readers the most recent things I am grateful for:
- I had a nice converstation with a cousine of mine. Next year she will get her high school diploma, and we started talking about her future plans. She shared with me her doubts and what she would like to study at the university. So I gave her some useful advices to lead her making the first steps towards gathering information about the university world, so that she will have enough time to decide. I feel appreciated when I am helpful for other people, and I feel good when I can help.
- After working remotely for two weeks, I came back to the company office last Monday. Despite getting up at 6 a.m., I am glad to see my colleagues again and sharing our experiences wheh we have a break.
- I have the opportunity to speak more with my co-worker, so that we can know better each other. We all have different backgrounds and we all have our own life outside the office, so it is interesting listening to their life experiences.
- When I go to bed, I am happy to be tired. I’m working hard for my future plans, and we all know that you need both money and working experience when you have some “work in progress”. At the moment, I am planting the seeds.
- I am happy I’m still writing. I’m happy about the decisions I started to take in January, and I am still following them. Writing is one of them.
- I am happy that spring is finally here. It is my favourite season.
- I am happy when I read some useful tips on social media and Medium. I save the picture on the phone, I highlight that sentence, I make a screenshot…just to remember myself that that picture or quote is helping me right now or is going to be useful one day.
Imagine people in the world starting thinking and writing the things they are grateful for. It is not just what you get back, it is the energy you convey to the Universe and to the others, it is the feeling you perceive when you know there is something good in your life despite the hardships you’re facing right now.
Imagine a lot of people thinking more positive about their life. Imagine spreading kindness and good mood because people are aware of what they have, and they don’t focus on negativity. Those people are also able to see positive aspects in others as well. When you tell yourself you’re not so good in something, but then the voice of your fellow friend/family member/whoever tells you: “Look, don’t put yourself down!”, it’s because they see potential in you. People who know their own potential can see other people’s resources as well.
Start writing down a list of the things you are grateful for. You can inspire yourself when things are not going so well, and you can also inspire others to know better themselves. If you know your own resources, you can recognize them in others.
Thank you.
