Some weeks ago I started sharing weekly articles about the things I am grateful for. Indeed, I do think that it would be fantastic if people shared their gratitude towards their own life. It would be great because people would focus on the beautiful aspects of their life, instead of putting too much energy on what they haven’t reached yet.

I was one of those people who thought that good things happen only to others, and I felt resentment. Now I try to focus on the good things I have, reminding myself that I should enjoy them when it is possible.

I said that it would be fantastic if people shared their gratitude towards their own life, so why not starting myself with this project?

  1. I am grateful for the time I spent with my family, especially my nephews. I hadn’t met my nephews for a while, so I was very happy to accept my sister’s invitation for a pizza night at her place. I went there with my boyfriend (who I consider a member of my family as well) and my parents also attended the pizza night. It was great to be all together again, as it does not happen very often.
  2. I am grateful I eventually saw a good friend of mine, and we were able to spend some hours together after several months. While she was talking, I realised that the topics of our conversations have changed: She is expecting her first baby due for November, while personally my main theme is my job. Is it because we are 30+ ?
  3. My father got vaccinated and I am so happy and relieved. At the end of March/beginning of April I lost both my grandmother and my uncle. It was devastating for my whole family, and thinking that we are now finally able to fight against this invisible enemy, makes me feel relieved.
  4. I spent some time reading while I was at home alone. YES! I really appreciate being alone for a couple of hours enjoying the company of some good books or articles.

If you enjoyed this post, I invite you to share your opinions and your personal things you are grateful for. Start writing down your own list. You can inspire yourself when things are not going so well, and you can also inspire others to know better themselves. If you know your own resources, you can recognize them in others.

Thank you.
