Things I am Grateful for: Week #6

Welcome back to my weekly updates!

This week has been full of little big surprises, and I’d like to share with you a picture that sums up last Saturday:

Isole Borromee (my own picture)
  1. My boyfriend took me to Stresa, a tiny town on Lake Maggiore. We then reached two of the three little and cute islands by boat and we enjoyed these beautiful places. I absolutely suggest everyone to go visit these enchanting islands!
  2. Last Thursday I was really in a bad mood. I arrived in the morning at the railway station in Milan, already angry at the world, and I couldn’t manage to go out. In order to go out from the station, you have to validate the ticket. My monthly pass did not seem to work, so I went to a group of train officers and one of them told me: “It happened to me too. I wanted to go out, but they gave me a work uniform!”. We all started to laugh and I managed to go out from the station. I really thought that that officer made my day, and my mood improved a little bit.
  3. I started watching the last season of Lucifer with my boyfriend. We both love the same tv-series, and we wait the weekend to watch other episodes together.
  4. After many months, I eventually enjoyed going out with a good friend of mine! It was a nice girl night, we ate something together and I finally drank my favourite cocktail. But before 11 p.m. we had to be home, so we enjoyed a couple of hours together and I hope I’ll see her soon.
  5. I started reading another book, which is quite interesting, as it concerns…hair! I’m keen on taking care of my hair, and another friend of mine gave me this book as a present. She is reading it as well, we both share this passion.
  6. I discovered my summer hit: Tune maari entriyaan, (When you entered - the bells started to ring in my heart) a Hindi song that I listen to every day. One day I’ll go to India, the music will suddenly start, and I’ll start dancing like in Bollywood movies.

I was one of those people who thought that good things happen only to others, and I felt resentment. Now I try to focus on the good things I have, reminding myself that I should enjoy them when it is possible.

It would be fantastic if people shared their gratitude towards their own life, so why not starting myself with this project?

If you enjoyed this post, I invite you to share your opinions and your personal things you are grateful for. Start writing down your own list. You can inspire yourself when things are not going so well, and you can also inspire others to know better themselves. If you know your own resources, you can recognize them in others.

Thank you.
