Things I am Grateful for: 3# Week
It’s Wednesday! And this means that I’m going to share with you the things I am grateful for this week.
First of all, have you had a look to the articles regarding the previous two weeks? If not, here they are:

Things I am Grateful For: #2 Week | by Laura Papavero | May, 2021 | Medium
This week has been full of meeting people for the first time and sharing advices.
- My colleague, another Laura, gave me useful suggestions regarding our job. I’ve started following them, and I notice her words were absolutely worth listening.
- I’ve met many colleagues of mine that were previously working from home. I talked to some of them on the phone or on our working chat, but this week I’ve got to finally see them in person.
- I’ve been noticing that I am becoming more independent on my job, and this really makes me happy and proud of myself, as it is an ongoing process that starts with one field, and goes on with several ones. Soon I’ll get something more to work on, and I am happy that I feel confident about the first area.
- I am so grateful about the time I spend with my boyfriend. Even though he has to work on weekends, we manage to do some activities together anyway, like walking in a park, watching our favourite TV series, and eating an ice-cream.
- I started dating my boyfriend exactly on 19/05/2020. Although today is not our officially anniversary, we have made huge steps forward in our relationship and our future together. We both share some past experiences that hurt us and have made us stronger but also wiser. We are happy about our relationship and we empower each other about both our own goals, and our couple ambitions.
- I am very happy when my friends tell me they wish to see me, or I tell them the same. I haven’t seen them for months, and you all know why (that is, the invisible enemy), so soon I will be able to meet them again, and we have so much to tell each other about our lives!
- I’ve started writing down what I want to do in the only couple of hours free that I have every day, and it works. I know that Wednesday is writing day (but this does not mean that I write only on Wednesday) so I come up with some ideas the days before. I keep focused and organized every day, because I know that a good schedule works for me. Every night, after dinner, I already know what I need to do and I simply do it.
- Gioia, my boyfriend’s dog, really loves me. Last Saturday I went back to her place from the city centre with a little shopping bag, and she suddenly started to put her nose inside my bag thinking there was some food for her. I laughed a lot, as she followed my hands and we kept going in circle for a while, until I put the bag on the table, and she understood I had no food for her. It was so funny! By the way, her name, means happiness.
Imagine people in the world starting thinking and writing the things they are grateful for. It is not just what you get back, it is the energy you convey to the Universe and to the others, it is the feeling you perceive when you know there is something good in your life despite the hardships you’re facing right now.
Imagine a lot of people thinking more positive about their life. Imagine spreading kindness and good mood because people are aware of what they have, and they don’t focus on negativity. Those people are also able to see positive aspects in others as well. When you tell yourself you’re not so good in something, but then the voice of your fellow friend/family member/whoever tells you: “Look, don’t put yourself down!”, it’s because they see potential in you. People who know their own potential can see other people’s resources as well.
Start writing down a list of the things you are grateful for. You can inspire yourself when things are not going so well, and you can also inspire others to know better themselves. If you know your own resources, you can recognize them in others.
Thank you.
